Responsibilities


The Clinical Manager participates in all activities related to the professional services provided, including establishing criteria on qualifications and assignment of personnel. As a Clinical Manager you will:


  • Perform clinical audits of patient electronic medical record, and notifies clinicians of any missing or incomplete data to remain in compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements
  • Serve as a member of the Utilization Review, Performance Improvement and IDG Committees
  • Ensure that the professional standards of community nursing practice are maintained by all nurses providing care.
  • Assure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Consult with the Medical Director in matters relating to patient care services
  • Establish methods for coordination of care by all disciplines
  • Participate in the development/maintenance of administrative/clinical policies and procedures
  • Promote staff development through staff education programs, leadership training/development, individual development, and other educational efforts


Qualifications


  • Demonstrates a broad base knowledge of community health nursing and competent clinical skills
  • 1-2 years of nursing experience
  • Previous experience in handling new referrals from first contact through admission
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license and good driving record
  • One year of supervisory and/or administrative experience
  • Current unencumbered registered nurse license in the state of practice or in accordance with the Board of Nurse Examiners rules for Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
