- Perform clinical audits of patient electronic medical record, and notifies clinicians of any missing or incomplete data to remain in compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements
- Serve as a member of the Utilization Review, Performance Improvement and IDG Committees
- Ensure that the professional standards of community nursing practice are maintained by all nurses providing care.
- Assure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Consult with the Medical Director in matters relating to patient care services
- Establish methods for coordination of care by all disciplines
- Participate in the development/maintenance of administrative/clinical policies and procedures
- Promote staff development through staff education programs, leadership training/development, individual development, and other educational efforts
- Demonstrates a broad base knowledge of community health nursing and competent clinical skills
- 1-2 years of nursing experience
- Previous experience in handling new referrals from first contact through admission
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license and good driving record
- One year of supervisory and/or administrative experience
- Current unencumbered registered nurse license in the state of practice or in accordance with the Board of Nurse Examiners rules for Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
