Northrop Grumman, Global Operations, has an opening for a Manufacturing Operations Manager 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Falls Church, VA.
Responsibilities:
- Participates in customer, industry, and/or academic, advisory boards or consortiums
- Analyzes large data sets and existing operational processes to make recommendations for future investments
- Analyzes and makes recommendations for acquisition, maintenance & enhancement of capital assets and equipment.
- Possesses strong knowledge, experience, and technical respect relating to maximizing the value of Advanced Manufacturing
- Champions company values, including safety, best practices, and continuous improvement
- Provides strong leadership, mentorship, and expertise for other organizational members, cross functional teams, and projects
- Advocates for technical differentiation
- Provides personnel technical development through leadership, team building, mentorship, and shared knowledge
- Assists with digital tool recommendations
- Supports research and advanced new applications
Basic Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in project management, analysis, planning, presentation, and human relations’ skills are required
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 10 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with 8 years of relevant experience. (A combination of years of experience and education can be considered in lieu of the degree requirement)
- Experienced project manager or equivalent with experience leading diverse functional or program teams, driving outcomes and achieving results
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communications skills
- Demonstrated experience working with matrixed or virtual teams
- Experience in managing employees in a high paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Practical experience with Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing and Manufacturing Experience in an Aerospace Manufacturing environment
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
- Knowledge of tracking budgets and providing cost estimates.
- Experience leading a Multifunctional team
