The Trust & Safety team is dedicated to ensuring that all Pinners have a safe experience on Pinterest. As Manager II, Machine Learning Engineering, you will be responsible for building and leading a team focused on enabling a scaled approach to understanding existing gaps in the coverage of our safety systems and the detection of new unsafe trends.


What You’ll Do


  • Grow the team's capabilities through career development of the current engineers and strategic hiring.
  • Define the scope of the Pinterest Surveillance team and the required skills.
  • Work with 3rd party surveillance vendors to augment our internal surveillance.
  • Collaborate with other companies across the industry to share resources and best practices.
  • Facilitate and enables a high performance team culture.
  • Build a platform to perform internal safety surveillance at scale.


What We’re Looking For


  • Experience managing or leading a team that has performed internal safety surveillance at scale.
  • Proven success launching complex software development projects that deliver high-impact outcomes.
  • Curiosity for leveraging data and metrics to identify challenging opportunities and build impactful solutions.
  • Strong people development skills and software project management skills.
