Who We Are Looking For
As NIKE’s External Reporting Manager, you will help lead the Quarterly and Annual Financial Reporting processes from beginning to end. The ideal candidate will have an ability to create strong relationships across Global Controlling, Investor Relations, Legal and other stakeholders.
What You Will Work On
You will coordinate and lead aspects of the preparation of NIKE’s quarterly and annual SEC filings. Validation and preparation of quarterly earnings release information in accordance with US GAAP and SEC regulations will be a critical part of this role. In partnership with the technical accounting department, you will research and resolve various technical accounting issues related to external reporting. You will ensure compliance with SOX 404 for internal controls over corporate financial reporting. You will also maintain appropriate industry expertise and technical knowledge to be used in effective communication and partnership with key stakeholders.
Who You Will Work With
This position will report to NIKE’s Director of External Reporting. The role will work cross functionally with our Investor Relations, Legal and Finance counterparts to manage the quarterly earnings release process. You will also partner with other Controlling teammates to work through accounting matters and understand their impacts to our external filings. In addition, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a WHQ-based team.
What You Bring
  • CPA required
  • Experience with international transactions in a large, multinational consumer products company
  • Desire to lead and mentor a team
  • Strong proficiency with Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Strong project management skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • SEC registrant experience is a plus
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP, accounting principles and financial statement analysis
  • Cross-functional approach with teams from all functions around the organization
  • Public accounting experience preferred
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Confirmed ability to identify, research and resolve accounting issues
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Minimum 6 years work experience in Accounting, Finance or related functions
  • High standards for quality and attention to detail
