Manager, Data And Reporting

Job Purpose:

This position will lead a team that will work closely with all business areas to capture reporting requirements and deliver insight that aligns with the company strategy and vision. The Data and Reporting Manager will have day-to-day responsibility for transforming data into meaningful business insight. This position will work closely with business stakeholders to ensure requirements are understood and the data is presented to the business in a simple and engaging way, whilst making insightful recommendations.

Essential Functions:

• Work with key marketing and product management members on complex business problems that require in-depth analysis and recommendations around the product lifecycle; this will include product launches, pricing, and acquisition/retention data analysis
• Provide ad-hoc reporting support and activities in a collaborative work environment
• Utilize statistical and data visualization tools to develop innovative approaches to complex business problems
• Participate in the identification and standardization of key business processes, design of analytical approaches, and development of tools which benefit analysis and reporting
• Establish the processes for maintaining the Power BI reports and upskilling the business to use them effectively
• Establish and deliver a consistent approach to measuring metrics / KPS across the business.
• Will work with all department leads to understand the needs of the department and organization to track and analyze results using a variety of dashboards and reports.
• Support financial modeling and business case development (i.e. EBITDA, NPV, etc.)

Education:

• MBA preferred
• Four years of College resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and/or 5 years of relevant experience in technology and/or data analytics required

Relevant Work Experience:

3-5 years of work experience

Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Experience working with large amounts of data from various data sources
• Extensive experience with Excel and Power BI is required.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a deadline-driven environment.
• Experience with visualization and story-telling
• Telecommunications industry experience preferred, but not required
• Demonstrated ability to analyze, understand and communicate complex issues and trends
• Experience with data management, analytical reporting and data visualization.
• Ability to work effectively across functional areas in situations where clear parameters may not exist
• Highly effective communication skills; articulate and able to converse at all levels
• Able to work closely with and build excellent relationships with key stakeholders.
• Experience supporting marketing and/or product management teams with new product launches, defining market opportunities, acquisition/retention campaigns, competitive intelligence, and pricing strategies is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills accompanied with excellent consultative skills
• Ability to manage, develop and mentor less experienced members of the team.
