This individual will play a critical role in delivering strategic intelligence and competitive analyses to key stakeholders across R&D, clinical, regulatory, commercial, business development, communications and IR functions. This individual will partner with senior leaders across these functions to influence decision making in multiple areas: indication prioritization for clinical development, clinical protocol design, regulatory path etc. This is an opportunity to join a highly visible role that provides cross-functional exposure within a growing team.

Responsibilities

• Monitor emerging scientific and clinical data, trends and opportunities in the immuno-oncology competitive landscape. Assess impact on Agenus strategy, communicate impact real-time to senior management as well as relevant stakeholders.
• Create dashboards / landscapes and provide customized data deliverables. Maintain a current tracker of the relevant insights supporting each disease area and provide quarterly updates
• Attend medical and scientific conferences and lead debriefs and/or seminars on findings. Arrange presentations/meetings to share competitive intelligence insights on a regular basis
• Apply scientific oncology expertise to monitor, gather, analyze and provide competitive intelligence with actionable recommendations to key stakeholders within clinical and regulatory development, R&D, business development and commercial functions, as well as the executive leadership team
• Contextualize and communicate implications of emerging clinical and scientific data to the communications and IR team to position the brand Agenus competitively in the I-O landscape
• Liaise with internal teams to ensure development decisions integrate insights deduced from the external landscape changes
• Respond to ad hoc requests from senior management with expert analysis in a timely manner
• Analyze primary and secondary data sets to extract insights that enable strategy development and decision-making across clinical, regulatory development and commercial teams
• Develop and maintain library of materials collected via competitive intelligence initiatives

Candidate Requirements

• Advanced scientific degree (MS, MBA or PhD) and prior background in oncology, preferably immuno-oncology
• Ability to understand and interpret complex research, scientific, and clinical data
• Self-motivated and close attention to detail
• Seasoned problem solver and able to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent project management, analytical, communication and research skills
• Experience in a market intelligence role (in VCs / investment banks / biopharma / consulting firm or agency) preferred
