Job Summary:
The Manager of the CVS Imaging Center Assumes 24-hours accountability for the management of inpatient and outpatient non-invasive cardiac services. Responsible for the overall quality of service, clinical resources, performance improvement, standards of care/standards of practice, and regulatory compliance, and other duties as assigned.
Primary Duties:
- Develops and demonstrates effective communication which fosters favorable attitudes and motivation with all members of the healthcare team.
- Oversees on-going accreditation with ICAEL and ICANL
- Provides supervision of clinical and clerical staff for the CVS Imaging Center.
- Interviews, hires, orients, and trains qualified, motivated staff, establishing behavioral and performance standards.
- Establishes performance expectations and provides coaching to achieve results.
- Collaborates with Executive Director to develop business plans for new services/
- Participates in strategies and operational planning and implementation of new services and results.
- In collaboration with the Executive Director, directs and/or oversees development and administration of capital and operating budgets for the Cardiac Imaging Center. Coordinates development and implementation of appropriate methods to monitor adherence to budgets and resolve variances.
- Ensures quality patient/client care.
- Hires high quality staff with the expectation of excellent customer service skills. Leads staff by example, reinforcing positive interactions. Progressively documents and follows up on unacceptable performance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Continually assesses and identifies opportunities to manage organizational resources with fiscal responsibility promoting effective allocation of resources and revenue generation.
- Demonstrates clinical and technical competence in area of expertise.
License, Certification, Education or Experience:
REQUIRED for the position:
- Demonstrate ability to communicate clinical/educational knowledge to staff, patients, and
- Able to demonstrate or acquire skills to complete echocardiography, or exercise testing or nursing skills/competency assessment checklist.
- Registered within area of expertise.
- 3 years in leadership, supervisory/management position.
- Graduate of accredited clinical program in area of expertise.
- Knowledgeable of the care required by respective age groups.
- Knowledge of computer systems; continuous quality improvement, and leadership process knowledge and skills.
- Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire
- Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient/client
- Knowledge of Federal, State, and JCAHO regulations and requirements
- Accountability for professional nursing/exercise physiology/ technology practice, commitment to patient care, and commitment to uphold Patients’ Rights, Federal, State of Washington Department of Health, and JC regulations and requirements.
- An understanding of financial management and a commitment to the provision of cost-effective care.
- Bachelor’s Degree in nursing/ science/ healthcare management (or equivalent degree)
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington (if candidate is a nurse).
- Verbal and written language skills to communicate and ensure and deliver safe patient care, and to provide a legal record of this care.
- 5 years of clinical experience in a diagnostic cardiac setting
