Maintenance Technician Jobs

JOB SUMMARY:

Performs a variety of skilled and unskilled jobs about building and grounds. Performs duties as assigned by Supervisor. Is willing to perform simple and manual tasks. Shows some initiative and judgment involved in aiding wherever required. Can cooperate and work well with other employees.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School Graduate and some technical school preferred.

Experience: Some experience in Maintenance and power plant work preferred.

Job Knowledge: Knowledge of boilers, compressors, machinery as well as the various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Knowledge of local codes and ordinances. Knowledge of safety regulations. Ability to carry out programs in repair or new construction and/or installation as directed. Knowledge of record keeping. Knowledge of supplies and equipment used by department and the care of this equipment. A maintenance man may receive technical training or on- the-job training and perform duties under supervision.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Leaf blowing
• Putting down ice melt
• Performs all duties as directed that concerns electricity, plumbing, painting(including furniture repair); mechanics (including equipment and mechanical system); heating, cooling, and water system; except those services performed under service contract with outside contractors.
• Clean of parking lots
• Planting of flowers and other plants.
• Mower
• Edge trimming
• Clearing of snow
• Weed eating
• Mulching
• Performs duties as directed concerned with maintenance of grounds which may be included:

Performs Other Duties As Directed Or Required.

Salary/ Wage Range

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
