Job Description
Maintenance Tech


EXEMPT (Y/N): No


SUMMARY: Shall be competent and responsible for handling routine maintenance and service of facility, grounds, and equipment. Job includes repairing, maintenance, cleaning, etc.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include The Following.


Other duties may be assigned.


  • Shall be able to provide general service work to the facility, equipment, and grounds.
  • Shall assist in keeping the building and grounds neat and clean.
  • Shall respond to maintenance request list by performing requested services.
  • Shall be safety conscious and adhere to established regulations, as well as, use common sense in carrying out duties.
  • Shall be responsible for administration of environmental wastes.
  • Shall be a permanent member of the Safety Committee, to insure facility and grounds are maintained in safe manner.
  • Shall be familiar with and able to competently use the tools of the trade.
  • Establish and maintain maintenance log for all equipment and perform routine preventive maintenance per manufactures specifications or as requested.

Shall have a general understanding of heating, plumbing, electric and carpentry.


Education And/Or Experience


High school graduate or equivalent. Prefer experienced person in plant maintenance, two years or more.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.


Must have visual acuity to read and interpret color codes for electrical wiring.
