Maintenance Technician Jobs

Maintenance Technician | Annandale, VA | $20-25/hr
This is semi-skilled work assisting skilled workers in the performance of duties related to electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, heating, and other building trades work. Work involves routine helper and semi-skilled work performed under close supervision while participating in repair work with a skilled tradesman. As experience is gained, an employee progressively becomes more skilled and uses more independent judgment as to method of repair. Work is ordinarily checked in progress and after completion.
Duties

• Performs maintenance and repair of the building construction and finishing materials.
• Restroom and common area building inspections and deficiency reporting.
• Supplies tools, equipment, and materials to skilled tradesmen; cleans up shop.
• Performs related work as required.
• Perform skilled work related to the general maintenance of the building and grounds.
• Responsible for assisting in minor facility construction and alteration projects.
• Assists and participates in the repair and preventive maintenance of HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be willing to work outdoors as necessary.
• Must be willing to perform non-technical work to support building operations including moving furniture and setting up for events.
• 3-5 years of experience as a multi-skilled maintenance
• Must be able to lift 25lbs.
• Ability to operate and maintain power tools and equipment common to the trade.
• Must be able to work from heights.
• Good knowledge of the standard methods, tools, practices, and procedures of the carpentry, plumbing, painting, mechanical, and electrical trades, and all necessary safety precautions.
• High School diploma or equivalent
