Maintenance Supervisor Jobs

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Responsible for Port Everglades maintenance and repair operation. Responsible for making sure Port Everglades has parts available to fix/repair chassis, gensets and refrigeration units to meet operation requirements following state and federal laws and regulations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow all maintenance SOP’s.
• Finding and preparing equipment for off hire when needed.
• Validating over the road repairs when equipment is returned.
• Special projects and miscellaneous assignments as necessary or required by M&R Manager.
• Out of Service %
• Evaluate equipment to be sent to third party vendors.
• Follow up with invoicing to ensure all vendors are receiving payment.
• Genset PMs
• Make sure spare parts warehouse physical vs system stock is 100% matching.
• Making sure parts/materials are ordered/received through MCS.
• Ensure all work orders are entered in MCS required to reflect the actual repairs/PMs done in the week.
• Provide mechanics with supplies/parts to ensure proper repairs.
• Chassis PMs
• Validating third party repairs/invoices.
• Checking PMs in and out of the shop.
• Meeting the weekly M&R KPIs

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma required.
• Mechanical background or experience a must

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 2 years of experience in a supervisory position
• Experience in an intermodal fleet environment a plus
• 3 years of maintenance and repair experience
• English required, Spanish a plus.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong computer skills.

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:

• Walking, stooping, bending, twisting, lifting, pulling, pushing, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties.
• The incumbent will be exposed to an environment with heavy equipment traffic for the planning and supervision of the processes.
• Ability to lift up to 44 Lbs. boxes.
• Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at a desk or computer terminal.
• Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled warehouse environment, including cold storage areas
• Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephones, and other office equipment in the course of normal workday.
