Job Description

You will be responsible for supporting the maintenance organization in the repair of plant equipment and facilities aligned with the standard GM maintenance systems. This work requires the ability to make decisions based on established procedures and is of a technical nature using independent judgment within the limits of GMS; focusing on Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost, and Environment (SPQRCE), in addition to the following responsibilities:
  • Responsible to develop and implement solutions/improvements to equipment in order to reduce mean time to repair (MTTR) or to increase mean time between failures (MCBF)
  • Implements divisional and corporate policies and safety and good housekeeping practices
  • Responsible for the effective use of personnel, material and equipment
  • Establishes a course of action to accomplish completion of the job and/or project
  • Responsible to develop, schedule and kit maintenance projects while meeting timing and quality requirements
  • Maintain frequent contact and collaboration with manufacturing operations and engineering team
  • Responsible for preventative maintenance and diagnosis of equipment malfunctions
  • Remain in sync with the terms of local and national labor agreements
  • Supervise hourly skilled workforce when needed

Additional
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of relevant engineering/maintenance experience

Preferred skills:
  • Basic digital literacy; Microsoft Office Suite

  • Knowledge of Kronos, Maximo, SAP
