ecomaine is seeking a Maintenance Manager, to manage the maintenance of its Waste to Energy, Single Sort Recycling and Landfill facilities in Portland Maine.

Requirements of the Maintenance Manager:

• Must be knowledgeable about electrical, hydraulic systems, instrumentation and controls.
• Must have excellent organizational skills
• Excellent managerial skills and a strong work ethic
• 10 Years experience in Waste to Energy or related field, or bachelor's degree and 5 years field related experience is required
• Budget experience required
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be knowledgeable about boiler and pressure vessel codes and Maine Boiler rules and regulations.
• Able to commute to Portland Maine, Monday - Friday
• Proven leader, motivator, clear communicator and team player.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products.

Responsibilities of the Maintenance Manager:

• Assists in decision making process for equipment changes and upgrades.
• Responsible for the proper maintenance and upkeep of ecomaine’s equipment and facilities. Utilizing computerized processes, tracks preventive maintenance, work orders and inventory for the ecomaine facilities maintenance requirements.
• Assists the Assistant Plant Manager and Plant Manager with projects, daily activities and departmental initiatives including annual budget preparation activities.
• Provides standard and requested maintenance reporting.
• Responsible for developing short- and long-term maintenance programs and strategies for the ecomaine Waste-To-Energy facility.
• Assists with preparation of annual budgets for all maintenance related functions.
• Manages and negotiates with vendors, suppliers and contractors for services and supplies. Works with purchasing to provide scope of work documents
• Maintains QA/QC, Federal and State recordkeeping requirements for Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (CEMS), work orders, pressure vessel inspections, repairs and licensing, elevator and tramway inspection, repairs and licensing.
• Manages ecomaine employees including seven different crafts.
• Manages the day-to-day maintenance of all of the ecomaine locations.
• Manages emergency, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance repairs.
