Role: Maintenance Manager
Location: Clifton Hill, Missouri
Manage the department with the primary goal of safety in mind.
Manage the department to maximize the safe and efficient repair of equipment to minimize or eliminate back logs.
Return units to operations as soon as safely possible after scheduled and unscheduled outages after completing all necessary maintenance repairs.
Coordinate project proposals with other departments for the capital, operating & maintenance budget.
Support training on all systems and equipment used.
Communicate problems and concerns with other departments at the plant to ensure that these problems do not become major issues.
Partner with the EH&S department to lead the Maintenance department in compliance with all environmental and safety standards.
Work with Financial Analyst to create and manage the department's operating budget.
Address grievances at the appropriate step, complaints, etc., from union and non-union personnel in the department.
Provide and gather input to facilitate group decisions.
Work with RCM to ensure reviews/analysis for the effectiveness and efficiency of existing equipment and develop strategies for improving poorly performing equipment.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Requirements
Bachelors Degree in mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience.
At least five years experience with power production or manufacturing plants, steam turbines, pumps, fans, coal handling equipment, air compressors.
Demonstrate excellent project/time management skills.
Supervisory Experience Skills With Union Labor.
Speak and write clearly and accurately.
Demonstrate the ability to use excellent personal judgment and known facts to make decisions and deal with problems.
Demonstrate the ability to work and communicate with all departments and contractors.
Demonstrate the ability to use computer to process large amounts of information, create requisitions to establish contracts, and procure material.
