Job Description

If you are a Maintenance professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Boulder, CO location, you will direct and lead all aspects of production maintenance and technical support including, maintenance, repair, trouble shooting, and improvements to equipment and systems. This role oversees employees in maintenance and upkeep including the repair of electrical, mechanical, and structural systems including overhauling production machinery. This position will identify and implement new equipment and equipment associated with new product introduction and manufacturing improvements to safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency. Leads lean manufacturing initiatives that support the business objectives.

AS A MAINTENANCE MANAGER, YOU WILL:

  • Complete and maintain appropriate time and attendance reports, as well as other administrative requirements.
  • Manage day-to-day maintenance, and maintenance improvements in a manufacturing environment
  • Assign work to employees and monitor and control all operations within the department.
  • Ensure that maintenance technicians are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated assuring that maintenance accomplished in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner.
  • Drive safety improvements consistent with OSHA, local, and company policies
  • Review the operation of plant equipment and systems consistently to minimize unplanned downtime; anticipate/solve problems in a timely manner; and identify opportunities for improvement. Prepare reports, analyze data, and make recommendations for improving plant operations.
  • Connect regularly with all maintenance technicians, both individually and as a group, to ensure good two-way communication concerning maintenance issues.
  • Select, validate, and manage various contractors to perform inspections, maintenance and repair.
  • Plan, develop and implement new equipment, methods, and procedures that will improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Lead efforts to establish and manage preventative maintenance scheduling, spare parts and equipment documentation systems. Track equipment performance to improve equipment reliability and ensure continuous production operations.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

  • Microsoft 365 Suite, i.e. Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Proficient with CMMS software
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Five (5) years of supervisory experience

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

  • Experience identifying and implementing equipment/process improvements
  • Experience with a large ERP system (Oracle or SAP – Oracle a plus)
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing tools to help improve processes
  • Experience with implementing and enhancing production equipment and processes
  • Degree in Electronics or Mechanics
  • Experience in leading medium to large capital projects and planning activities

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary/pay range for this role is $113,000-131,800, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
