Maintenance Manager - Hotel Santa Barbara

THE TEAM

Charming and historic boutique hotel in the heart of downtown Santa Barbara situated a half-mile from the beach and Stearns Wharf and a block from the Paseo Nuevo outdoor shopping center.

THE PLAYER

You will supervises the general maintenance of properties, including but not limited to, repairs throughout the inside and outside of the hotels and restaurants (guestrooms, bathrooms, hallways, lobby, kitchens, dining rooms, etc). You will lead the technician team and be responsible for scheduling, ordering, and tracking the preventative maintenance program. You will keep the hotel and restaurant appearance and equipment operating according to Geronimo Hospitality standards. You will oversee inspections keep facilities in line with state and federal life safety requirements.

EVERY DAY, YOU WILL

• Able to react quickly when situations come up
• Utilize the maintenance software to allocate work job assignments
• Oversees annual, quarterly, and monthly inspections, ensuring the facilities keep in line with state and federal life safety requirements
• Maintain the facilities so that they are free from safety hazards
• Responsible for preventative maintenance
• Work with Hendricks Commercial Properties maintenance technicians on shared areas as needed
• Leads and supervises the facilities’ team of technicians
• Maintaining grounds, gardens, entryways, decks, parking lots (including snow removal as needed)
• Provide daily reports and communication regularly with management
• Work with outside vendors for needed services
• Trash removal as needed
• Position subject to irregular hours to include late nights, weekends and holidays.
• Perform carpentry work and painting on facilities
• Responsible for scheduling, ordering within budget guidelines, and keeping track of the preventative maintenance program

Requirements:

YOU WILL BE GREAT AT HOTEL SANTA BARBARA IF

Education High school diploma or equivalent

Experience and/or Training Previous maintenance experience in hotel or similar environment; firm knowledge of plumbing, electrical and refrigeration repairs.

Must have a valid Driver’s License.

Licenses/Certificates

HVAC preferred

Competency in Microsoft office, including excel, work, and outlook.
