Job Description
Tribe 9 Foods, South Windsor, CT operations is a partnership of value-based brands (RP's Pasta Co., Taste Republic, Yumbutter and Carla's pasta) with a mission to promote eating and living well. Hours and Working Schedule:
The working schedule for 2nd shift is Monday – Friday from 2:30pm - 11:00pm. Overtime and weekend work is required.
Essential Functions:
  • Cutting and welding with a variety of processes
  • Many other industry/trade specific responsibilities
  • Fitting, setting, and installing fabricated structures
  • Overseeing shop hands or helpers
  • Repair, design, layout, and estimation
  • Machining fabrication materials and components
  • Metal forming, bending, and finishing
Technical Skills:
  • AWS Certified Welder or Welding Fabricator
  • 2 years Related work experience
  • Math
  • Blueprint reading
  • Critical thinking
  • Certificate in welding, metals fabrication, machining, etc.
  • Associate degree in welding, metals fabrication, machining, etc.
  • Problem solving
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is subject to standing for prolonged periods; frequently walks, grasps, lifts, holds, or feels objects; occasionally stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls. The employee frequently is required to use manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination when working and handling products, computers, or machinery. The employee is subject to assist and support up to 50 pounds with varying amounts of assistance on a as needed basis. The employee is required to have corrected vision and hearing within normal range and the ability to operate equipment if required. The employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and non-moving mechanical parts. The employee could have work conditions that are extremely cold or extremely hot. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
