Maintenance Assistant Jobs

We are looking for a Maintenance Assistant to perform all duties as directed that concerns electricity, plumbing, painting (including furniture repair); mechanics (including equipment and mechanical system); heating, cooling, and water system; except those services performed under service contract with outside contractors.

Job Position

Performs a variety of skilled and unskilled jobs about building and grounds. Performs duties as assigned by Supervisor. Is willing to perform simple and manual tasks. Shows some initiative and judgment involved in aiding wherever required. Can cooperate and work well with other employees.

Required Qualifications

The Maintenance Assistant must possess:

• High school diploma or Graduate of Technology
• Some experience in Maintenance and power plant work preferred.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs other duties as directed or required.
• Promotes and conducts activities in and out of the facility for all residents at all levels of care and generate an assessment
• Cleaning of parking lots
• Weed eating
• Performs duties as directed concerned with maintenance of grounds which may be included:
• Putting down ice melt
• Planting of flowers and other plants
• Edge trimming
• Clearing of snow
• Mower
• Mulching
• Leaf blowing

Full vaccination against COVID-19 or a medical/religious exemption is recommended

Salary/ Wage Range

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.

Schedule:

• Weekend availability
• Any weekday (Monday through Friday)

Education:

• High school diploma or Graduate of Technology

Experience:

• Some experience in Maintenance and power plant work preferred.
