Maintenance Area Manager - BFG3

MISSION:
The person in this position will be responsible for and lead a team of approximately 25 - 35 maintenance personnel in an area of the facility. They will ensure the availability and durability of equipment in their sector while optimizing maintenance costs and energy in a continuous improvement approach. This is to allow operations to achieve its goals of safety, quality, cost and production.
KEY EXPECTED ACHIEVEMENTS:
  • Resources are adapted (competency and quantity), training and succession plans are created and carried out
  • The reliability of equipment is ensured, in particular by dealing with obsolescence cases
  • Maintenance plans are implemented, to include effective reaction to breakdowns and proactive work on machinery to improve control of the process (reliability).
  • The steps and tools of MMW (Michelin Manufacturing Way) are mastered to drive reliability progress
  • Safety requirements are prioritized and ensured at all times (personnel and equipment)
  • Effectiveness of machine interventions is continuously optimized (The analysis of maintenance results is ensured and implementation of necessary actions to ensure continuous progress over short and medium term horizons)
  • Maintenance cost is optimized: operational efficiency, energy and spare parts consumption
  • The maintenance strategy is applied to equipment criticality
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven leadership of teams, have examples of the ability to facilitate progress
  • Proven record of development of people through coaching and mentoring and establishment of development plans
  • Technical degree is a plus but equivalent experience is considered
  • 3-5 years prior maintenance management experience is required
