Mainframe Storage Administrator - Tsm (Tivoli) And Hsm

We are actively looking for Mainframe Administrators/Specialist to be a part of our expanding Nothern America mainframe team.

This position will be engaged remotely (work from home) on a long-term 6 to 12 months renewable contracts. The position will be engaged at an enterprise level project based in Northern America.

• The remuneration (contract rate) is very competitive.

There are two projects that this role will carry out.

Project 1)

Tape Cleanup (CA-1 & RMM) CA-1

CA-1:

• Pointer Error cleanup
• TMS Extend
• Tape Cleanup (obsolete entries and cleanup requests)
• TMS maintenance jobs / best practices

RMM:

• RMM maintenance jobs / best practices
• Tape Cleanup (obsolete entries and cleanup requests)

Project 2)

Review/Analyze and fix issues within HSM:

• Reduce inefficiencies in storage groups.
• Responsible to review, make recommendations, and enhance HSM efficiency across 6 complexes.
• Improve migration functions.
• Reduce thrashing.
• Cleanup broken BCDS/MCDS records.
• Reduce backup times.

Key skills

• Working knowledge of Excel.
• Proficient in all aspects of HSM and TMS. Backup, Migration, SMS routines, Audits, Fixes, etc.
• Proficient in TSO, REXX, ISPF.
