The Mail Associate/Driver will receive inbound mail and packages as well as process outbound mail and packages. This position also performs mail runs and assists other staff members as required. This position also requires driving between our two Mpls locations and the post office.


Responsibilities


  • Placing delivered items in appropriate storage locations.
  • Placing all items in proper staging locations.
  • Other duties as assigned by integrated services site manager.
  • Ship out products in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Physically distribute mail and Courier packages by cart, dolly or hand truck to and from various departments throughout the building.
  • Calibrate Copy Machines order and replace toner
  • Prepare and process outbound courier shipments using computer or service provider's equipment .
  • Deliver overnight mail.
  • Prepare items for processing, shipment or transportation.
  • Occasionally dropping overnight packages at UPS/FedEX
  • Responds to client issues and ensures the appropriate escalation processes are followed by communicating issues to supervisor/manager.
  • Provide support to certified shipping lead and integrated services site manager for all administrative, reporting and operational functions.
  • Pickup outbound boxes and packages from internal customer locations.
  • Ability to sort items into categories according to established methods.
  • Enter activity data in logs, maintain records.
  • Deliver office supplies and copy paper.
  • Manually load and load vehicles
  • Be responsible for x-ray scanning of all mail and packages and being proficient with suspicious package detection techniques.
  • Make timely collection of outgoing mail (letters, parcels, U.S. Postal, interdepartmental), using cart or, for larger items hand truck or dolly.
  • Be responsible for proper billing of internal departments under their appropriate 5 digit code for postage etc.


Qualifications


  • Ability to handle mail or hand cart, as well as flatbed.
  • Assertive and resourceful; self motivated; willing to ask questions and take initiative be able to communicate clearly.
  • Consistently demonstrates professional demeanor, appearance and attitude
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to effectively work individually or in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Competency in performing multiple functional tasks.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service skills; must possess a "can do" attitude.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
