-Operates and maintains manual and numerically controlled OD and ID grinding machines
-Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints to ensure accurate production
-Takes precise measurements using micrometers, snap gages, gage blocks, indicators, dial bore gages, etc. Typical tolerances to be held are .001", but tolerances of .0005" to .0002" are not uncommon.
-Selects appropriate machine, equipment, and settings for a given task
-Plans proper sequence of tasks to complete the job
-Monitors production, adjusting machine settings as necessary
-Maintains inventory of completed products
-Maintains a safe and clean workstation
-Identifies need for and performs machine maintenance and minor repairs
-Inspect customer orders incoming and outgoing
Qualifications:
-Mechanical Experience.Willing to train the right individual.
-Machining experience is a plus
-Proficient in math
-Strong attention to detail
-Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks
