Job Description

General information:

Hitachi energy is seeking an Machinist for its Alamo, TX location.

Responsibilities:

Follow all safety and work procedures to set up and operate a variety of CNC ITi filling equipment to include fixture placement and alignment, loading programs, tool setting and modifying programs and offsets to meet finished part specifications. Set up and operate band saws, lathes, drill presses and parts washers. Perform in process checks to ensure finished product meets design specifications. Organize materials and tools during automatic controlled cycles to shorten changeover time.

Your background:

Minimum of 2 years degree or certificate from a recognized trade or technical school in machining. Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States. Must be able to read and comprehend safety procedures, work instructions and drawings. The ability to operate a computer and learn specialized programs are needed to perform job functions. Able to regularly pick up and manipulate up to 35 pounds safely.
