JOB SUMMARY

Stabilize product to specification within expected cycle times, and pump throughout the plant.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Stabilization of Batches

• Pull sample for external testing and taste panel evaluation.
• Ensure product meets specifications prior to releasing for pumping.
• Add Lecithin, flavoring and cocoa butter or vegetable oil to batch based on batch sheet requirements and in-process test results.
• Re-test after initial additions, record viscosity, fineness, color, flavor and fat.
• Accurately record test results and store product samples for traceability.

Pumping of Batches

• Report any defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisor.
• Verify pump is working effectively; lines set properly; valves closed to ensure no cross contamination of products or spillage due to over fills.
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition; follow lockout tag out and any other safety regulations.
• Utilizing daily production schedule, pump products from conch room to tank farm, molding or drop line.
• Identify proper tanks to use based on product type.
• Record data in daily production log, downtime report, screen inspection report.

Will be required to perform other duties as requested, assigned, and directed

Qualifications

• Three to five years manufacturing experience preferred
• Ability to enter and utilize information in our computer systems
• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Must read, write, and speak English at an adequate level for this position
• Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions
