Position Summary

Come work with us in our beautiful office in West County! Our Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery office is located on the campus of Barnes Jewish West County Hospital in the newest office building. Join our team and support facial plastic surgeons who care for both cosmetic and trauma patients. Learn to assist with aesthetic procedures such as peels and facials as well as assist in minor surgical cases. We are open 8-4:30 daily with no weekends, no evenings, and the option for 10-hour workdays. WUSM has a benefit package that is not matched by other employers and includes 20 vacation days/year. Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Conducts rounds on the assigned patients receiving treatment to ensure orders are executed and treatment parameters are followed when required.
• Administers medications as prescribed within state and facility guidelines and performs CPR when required.
• Assists in the assessment, monitoring and termination of prescribed tests and performs basic nursing care, including simple dressings and IV fluid maintenance.
• Participates in development, implementation and evaluation of patient care plans with other members of the patient care team.
• Reviews patient data and communicates pertinent information to superior in a timely manner, charting entries appropriately.
• Observes, monitors and responds appropriately to changes in patient treatments.

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of related medical experience.
• Working knowledge of general nursing theory and practice with ability to recognize and interpret symptoms/conditions and assist in emergency or adverse situations.

Required Qualifications

• REQUIRED LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION: Current LPN licensure in the state of Missouri and/or Illinois depending on location or received within three months from date of hire; Basic Life Support certification (Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements).
• Graduate of LPN program.

Salary Range

$20.17 - $30.24 / Hourly

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
