Job Description

This role will perform all electrical duties assigned to station and make all necessary adjustments on components when required. Follow all standard or accepted methods and procedures within company safety guidelines.


The Role:

  • Be able to work with Programmable Motion Control cards (PCM cards)
  • Running conduit, pull wire, and make electrical connections in a professional manner using wiring diagrams and/or electrical schematics
  • ECM programming
  • Follow prescribed safety regulations / guidelines
  • Perform other duties as required or directed
  • Trouble-shoot low voltage systems utilizing wiring schematics, computer software, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Assembly duties as required
  • Work independently on wiring and programming engines and power pack systems
  • Detect and report defective materials, faulty operation, and unusual conditions to immediate Supervisor
  • Trouble-shoot electrical to electronic interfaces
  • Work with Engineering and Vendors on new wiring requirements for Prototype units and systems


Skills and Experience Required:

  • Knowledge of all electrical components and their ideal operation
  • Use and comprehend specifications, electrical schematics
  • Extensive knowledge of troubleshooting principles and applications
  • Required to read, write and comprehend English


Occasional, Infrequent:

  • Complete appropriate paperwork for rejected parts
  • Return leftover parts back to Warehouse
  • Train new hires
  • Chase parts and fill in necessary paperwork
  • Document and diagram wiring when needed (example: Prototype units)


Skills:

  • HS Diploma or GED required
  • 12 to 18 Months
  • The training period for this position:


Prior Positions/Training:

  • Two years minimum in low-voltage electrician role
  • Must have training in reading electrical schematics


Required Physical Effort:

Moderate physical demand in handling materials and tools while performing electrical and related operations. May be required to lift up to 30 lbs. Work also involves climbing up to 4-6 feet using ladders and crawling underneath rigs. Some exposure to dirt, oil, and other shop elements.
