Calling all Information Technology students!


WheelHouse IT is a rapidly growing Managed IT Service Provider headquartered in South Florida with team members all around the world. We’re looking for prospective IT professionals that are eager to find their place in the industry. As an intern at WheelHouse IT, we expect passion and a drive to learn more every day. This position is based out of the Ft. Lauderdale Headquarters and has part-time and full-time options.


The Support Agent role is the entry level position on our Support Desk that is designed to get you started in the field of IT from the ground up. When someone calls in for technical support, we can trust that our staff will provide friendly, respectful, and knowledgeable service over the phone or through email. We expect that incoming candidates likely have no practical experience in IT, but may have experimented with home networks, virtual machines, academic assignments, and any other passion projects.


What You’ll Do


  • Application support (Office/Microsoft 365, QuickBooks, etc.)
  • Getting comfortable using our ticketing system, ConnectWise Manage
  • Creating tickets and routing calls to a team of technicians
  • Resolving simple or fast tickets on the spot (the longer you’re with us, the more frequent this will become)
  • Basic network support – configuration of wireless routers and access points
  • Basic logistics and inventory for enterprise level clients
  • Accessing client systems via RMM tools
  • Answering incoming calls from our clients requesting technical support
  • At least one day of peer-to-peer training and shadowing per week
  • Setup and configuration of hardware and components
  • Installation of common peripheral devices
