Job Description
Summary You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD), Sustainment Department, In-Service Support Division (GT43) of NAWCTSD ORLANDO. Responsibilities You will serve as a Task Order Manager (TOM) and technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for life cycle logistics management. You will manage the contractual logistics support and technical requirements for all assigned programs. You will represent the Project Manager and the Assistant Program Manager, Logistics during the source selection process, training program conferences, meetings, and program reviews. You will visit operational training support installations, and private industry to provide technical direction, advice and assistance as required. You will solve complex logistics problems and assess their root causes, recommend solutions and provide expert advice to resolve such problems within programmatic constraints. You will communicate autonomously with key stakeholders, program management, technical experts and training resource sponsors at the operational training Commands. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Working knowledge of advanced theory, concepts, principles, and practices of all aspects of the broad field of logistics management; 2) Demonstrating competence of integrated logistics support, training system operations and maintenance and instruction of support requirements for fielded training systems with the ability to apply this knowledge during execution of duties; 3) Performing cost analysis and life cycle costing studies for assigned systems; 4) Serving on Source Selection Evaluation Boards with the ability to provide technical training assessments and identifying viable Contractor training system solutions relative to fielded training system program requirements; 5) Utilizing interpersonal relationships to develop and maintain an effective working relationship among team members and extended team members, and ability to exercise good judgment in sensitive situations and personal relationships, including contractors and customers.
