Summary About the Position: The incumbent will serve as a Logistics Management Specialsit at the LSE (Logistics Support Element) in Fort Riley, KS. Responsibilities Responsible for special projects encompassing all aspects of planning and logistics support for long and short-range operations and exercises. Receive staff actions pertaining to logistics matters requiring coordination of input from commodity managers within the Logistics Readiness Center. Coordinate studies to assist in the development of all facets regarding logistics as they relate to the support of operational readiness. Evaluate weekly situation reports to suggest solutions regarding logistical, organizational issues. Conducting logistic planning to identify impact of delays regarding operational readiness; 2). Coordinating logistic requirements to support mobilization and deployment efforts regarding supplies and the transportation of such supplies in accordance with required maintenance, and 3). Securing information to execute logistic support to contingency operations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Decision Support Oral Communication Planning and Evaluating Written Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
