Job Summary

The logistics and Hardware Support Specialist is responsible for overseeing the replacement of failed hardware from troubleshooting and inventory to packaging and shipping. They also develop and implement logistics strategies to ensure timely delivery, tracking, and disposal of IT assets, and coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth and efficient logistics process. The ideal candidate has knowledge of industry-standard hardware and software. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Forecasts, requisitions, and maintains ideal inventory quantities of shipping supplies.
  • Schedule, submit, and initiate supplier returns in accordance with standard procedures.
  • Process customer advance replacement of failed hardware in required timeframe.
  • Prepares shipments routed via company drivers, common carriers, and schedules daily pickups and deliveries.
  • Operate narrow aisle forklifts, pallet jacks and sit-down forklifts of various sizes.
  • Ensure hardware is calibrated and handled to standard required.
  • Manages customs documents, compliance and items related to international shipments.
  • Comply with individual, team and departmental productivity and performance goals.
  • Perform health check and refurbish all returned hardware and detail all findings.
  • Maintains excellent company image through daily contacts with employees, customers, suppliers, and freight carriers.
  • Provides shipping estimates using quoting tool.
  • Process customer hardware returns for credit in coordination with the accounting teams.
  • Configure replacement hardware to customer specification.
  • Ensures accuracy of daily shipping paperwork and that required quality audits of outgoing shipments have been completed before shipping.
  • Update all customer assets and document unique device information in all databases.
  • Practice proper packaging and shipping methods to ensure product arrives safely.
  • Assist Integration Technicians with setup, mounting and troubleshooting of all outgoing hardware
  • Process freight damage claims with carriers.
  • Ensures address labels and Bills of Lading (BOL) are correct by verifying against pick ticket.

Technical Skills / Competencies

  • Basic understanding of NetSuite and Salesforce tools.
  • 1+ years' experience
  • Moderate understanding of Microsoft Suite.
  • Forklift certified is a plus, but not required Education & Experience
  • Associate degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • Moderate understanding of domestic & international shipping customs and regulations.
  • Basic understanding of audio/video concepts.
  • Detail oriented
  • Windows/Android operating systems basics.
  • Strong ability to multi-task
