Job Description
Our Logistics Administrator will play a supporting role in the seafood marketing and sales team of O’Hara Corporation. They will track domestic and international shipments, their shipping documents and payments, provide data entry to in-house and online 3rd party databases, and support in customer communications. This person will be responsible for managing customer payments and timing of export documentation to ensure the smooth movement of freight via ocean cargo vessels, rail, and trucks. Requirements


Essential Duties & Job Functions:


  • Enter production data from each fishing vessel offload into an in-house database
  • Create customer invoice drafts
  • Proactively communicate with customers regarding shipping documents and payment timing to avoid demurrage at destination ports
  • Enter production data into USDC Seafood Inspection Program (SIP) online database to generate export health certificates, certificates of origin, and IUU catch certificates
  • Monitor cargo vessel schedules to track our international shipment, documents, and customer payments
  • Create Fed-ex shipments and mail original shipping documentation to our international customer base
  • Drive to Ballard and Sand Point for occasional document pickup


Requirements:

  • A high degree of accuracy is an absolute necessity
  • Must be knowledgeable with domestic and export logistic compliance
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to interact and communicate positively and professionally in person, on the phone, and in writing


Preferred Skills and Experience:


  • Experience with USDC Seafood Inspection Program (SIP) database
  • 3+ years of seafood domestic and export/logistics documentation experience in China, Japan, Korea, EU countries
  • High school diploma required. College education preferred


Work Schedule:


In office Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., occasional overtime/weekend work as necessary

Compensation:


  • $60-$70K DOE
