Loan Officer Assistant - Entry-Level

The Loan Officer Assistant works alongside designated Mortgage Loan Officers in a fast paced, sales environment. This position involves supporting a team in the Loan Origination and Operations process as well as performing daily administrative tasks in a timely, complete and accurate fashion, per the company’s policies, procedures, and expectations.

• Prepare and send an initial needs list to the applicant that defines the necessary documents required for the underwriting of the applicant’s credit qualifications
• Properly prepare files for submission to underwriting, completing the necessary tasks expected per LOA Submission Checklist
• Perform administrative functions in the Loan Origination system to complete required activities of the mortgage application and origination process
• Provide support to Mortgage Loan Originators (MLO) and the mortgage origination process of Consumer Direct Lending
• Provide excellent customer service skills with clients and applicants to ensure client retention, promptly respond to client questions and concerns within 24 hours of request
• Follow up with assigned clients at all times, keeping them informed of open items needed for initial underwriting
• Accurately review applicant’s income documentation (pay stubs, W2’s, Award Letters, Tax Returns) and follow up with applicant to collect necessary documents in an expedited manner
