We are looking for an experienced, personable, and dedicated Director of Nursing to join our Skilled Nursing Facility in the Allentown, PA area!This position offers a competitive salary! A director of nursing should have once been a hard-working and compassionate registered nurse who steadily developed their managerial and administrative skills. The goal is to foster an excellent environment that will support everyone in working to the benefit of hospital and patients alike.ResponsibilitiesDirect, oversee and evaluate all nursing personnel (registered nurses, LPN etc.)Guide staffing proceduresSet objectives and long-term goals for the nursing departmentOrganize and coordinate admission, nursing and patient care proceduresDevelop and enforce policies aiming for legal compliance and high quality standardsControl budgets and monitor expendituresResolve issues and deficiencies when neededManage record-keeping proceduresCollaborate with other departments and professionals to streamline operationsReport to upper managementSkillsProven experience as director of nursingIn-depth knowledge of hospital procedures and KPI/KQIs of patient careUnderstanding of basic budgeting and financial reportingGreat knowledge of legal regulations and best practices in healthcareWillingness to keep abreast of changing standards in nursing administrationExcellent ability to lead and develop personnelGreat communication and people skillsOutstanding organizational and stress management skillsAptitude in problem-solvingDegree in nursing; Master’s degree in nursing or healthcare administration is a plusValid nursing and CPR certificationJob Type: Full-timeSalary: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per yearBenefits: Health insurancePaid time offRelocation assistance Physical setting: Long term careNursing home Schedule: Monday to Friday
