Job Summary
Performs analysis of petrochemical feedstocks, intermediates, and finished products in a production facility laboratory. Records test results in designated locations. Records tracking information and samples and stores the samples in designated locations. Maintains a safe and clean work environment. Maintains laboratory records. Exhibits competency in all relevant laboratory test methods.
Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology or related degree or 5 years of laboratory experience in lieu of degree
• Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) Eligibility
• Selected individuals must be able to work a rotating shift schedule in a 24-hour operation
• TWIC Eligibility Requirements: The Maritime Transportation Security Act requires all persons who will need unescorted access to a regulated facility to have a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC), issued in accordance with the rules established by the United States Coast Guard and Transportation Security Administration. All candidates must be eligible to receive a TWIC in order to be considered for an offer.
• Basic knowledge of computers required as position needs to access computer programs and enter lab data
• Chemical or petroleum refining experience preferred

Job Duties

• Uses analytical equipment to test of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products . Reports lab test data in accurate and timely manner
• Records and validates data and calibrates equipment
• Stores samples and documentation in designated locations
• Communicates with Plant Operations personnel and customers
