Linux Systems Administrator 2105 Jobs

The Contractor shall provide immediate and knowledgeable support to the development team by maintaining the current Linux development environment and hosts, maintaining the development environment accreditation in good standing, and building out and accrediting the development team’s next generation commercial and enterprise development environments. This includes deploying and troubleshooting physical workstations and peripherals, as well as work with the developers to document, procure and deploy development resources as required.

a. Develop, support and maintain both commercial and enterprise cloud development environments, including initial accreditation and accreditation maintenance activities. This also includes any and all authentication, audit, data protection, monitoring, or other requirements.

b. Deploy, support and maintain developer workstations including physical, virtual images, and cloud.

c. Deploy, support and maintain developer support tools including code repository and collaboration tools.

d. Provide Tier 1, 2 and 3 level customer support for the application.

e. Provide and create documentation, training, communication (website), and coordination with local and remote users and stakeholders.

f. Provide ad-hoc file processing support to priority activities at the POCs direction.

g.Test hardware and storage configurations in support of the legacy and next generation products.

Required Skills

Demonstrated experience supporting and maintaining physical and cloud environments to include workstations and virtual images.

Demonstrated experience to deploy, support and maintain developer support tools to include code repository and collaboration tools.

Demonstrated experience to deploy Tier 1, 2 and 3 level customer support.

Demonstrated experience supporting and maintaining system and application security best practices, as well as patch management best practices.

Desired Skills

Demonstrated experience creating functional and technical design specifications for software development efforts.

Demonstrated experience with content disarm reconstruction tools.

Demonstrated experience with anti-malware engines.

Demonstrated experience with version control systems like Gitlab.

Demonstrated experience with issue tracking systems like JIRA.

Demonstrated experience working collaboratively and with minimal direct supervision.

Demonstrated experience exhibiting oral and written communications skills.

Demonstrated experience collecting, documenting, tracking and managing system requirements, milestones and needs.

Demonstrated experience to ensure documentation of system architecture and documentation, including creation of programmatic reporting
