Job Description
: Solderer
This is a highly skilled soldering position requiring experience assembling and soldering electrical components, systems, and assemblies. Experience following procedures for soldering connector ends, assembly of connector and rework techniques for wire/ terminal connectors and how to select solder, flux, and cleaning requirements is preferred. All solders are trained and certified to the J-STD 001. Solder?s may require crimping contacts to conductors per router, drawing and procedure when applicable.
Major Duties
  • Performing hand soldering of electronic assemblies, components, and systems
  • Minding quality and detailed work, with precision and care.
  • Experience with manual wire bond
  • Ability to read and work from assembly prints, schematics and procedures is a must.
  • Experience with hand crimping of a variety of contact styles
  • Experience performing soldering under a magnifying glass, is a plus.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe workstation.
Requirements For Consideration
  • Demonstrated ability to carry out defined tasks independently with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to think and write clearly and logically.
  • J-STD 001 and IPC A620 certification preferred but not required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, associated degree in technical field preferred.
  • Experience with soldering of connectors, how to select solder sizes, flux, and cleaning of solder joints.
  • For the purposes of ITAR regulations, applicants should be US citizens or permanent residents.
  • Two years in an equivalent and/or process technician role with extensive hands-on experience.
  • Experience with assembly of high-power RF products preferred.
  • Must comply with all requirements regarding safety procedures and safety equipment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy of work.
