Job Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic, high-performing candidate with experience in health care and/or other services providing high-quality services. At Kyla, you'll feel our supportive community every step of the way. We deliver Urgent Care, Primary Care, and Specialty Care Services. We're a team and love working that way.
Responsibilities:
- Provide solutions for patient concerns within the scope of position
- Perform CLIA waived tests, phlebotomy (if qualified), obtain lab specimens
- Contact Emergency Medical Services when appropriate
- Utilize the Electronic Health Record to maintain proper documentation
- Obtain basic patient vitals
- Assist medical provider with physical examination via physical and technological means as directed by medical provider
- Prepare examination and treatment rooms with necessary supplies
- Communicate effectively with supervising medical provider
- Accept and assume responsibility for special projects and duties as they arise
- Maintain clean and organized clinics
- Take accurate and thorough patient history including but not limited to: Allergy history, medication history, social history, family history, medical history.
- Handle telephone calls from patients/ prospective patients
- Remain compliant with meetings, conference calls, certifications, etc.
- Establish telehealth communication with supervising medical provider
- Maintain adequate communication with non- medical supervising staff regarding facility functionality or technological complications
- Remain in compliance with HIPAA and applicable privacy laws at all times. Violations must be reported.
- Verify patient insurance
- Apply pre-formed splints, dressings, bandages as directed by medical provider
- Complete thorough and accurate documentation of the medical encounter
- Instruct/ educate patient on discharge instructions
- Maintain adequate supplies by communicating inventory to applicable personnel
- Properly charge patients for services including copayment collections
