Licensed Practical Nurse/Lpn- 24 Hours/Evening- Medical/Telemetry Unit-Lyman 1

Under the direction of a RN, the LPN provides physical, psychological, sociocultural, and spiritual dimensions of care to patients and their families, including medical treatments, on a variety of rehabilitation and medically complex nursing units, as needed. Our LPN’s float to all nursing units in the hospital, providing them exposure to a wide range of clinical experiences and skills.

Job Requirements

• Current CT LPN License required
• Patient care/Healthcare experience preferred but not required
• American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross BLS Certification required

WORK SCHEDULE: 24 hours/week, evening shift (3:30 pm-11:30 pm), every other weekend/holiday rotation

Gaylord nursing units offer a variety of skills such as:

Milne 1 & 2: Step down/progressive care unit of level of care includes:

• Ventilator support and weaning
• Continuous telemetry monitoring

• LVAD patient population

Lyman 1 & Hooker 1: Medical Units offer skills such as:

• Complex wounds
• Stroke
• Telemetry
• Pulmonary care

Lyman 2 & Hooker 2: Specialty Units are CARF Accredited with a focused patient population:

• Spinal cord Injury
• Traumatic Brain Injury
• Stroke
