Overview

Full-time, temporary assignment (3 months) - $40/hr

One of the great aspects of working with the incarcerated population is the satisfaction of providing education and healthcare to the underserved, as many of our patients have gone without health care prior to being incarcerated.

Position: Licensed Practical Nurse

Facility: Graceville Correctional Facility

Location: 5168 Ezell Rd, Graceville, FL 32440

Status: Full-time; Temporary (3-month assignment)

Pay rate: $40.00 per hour + $2.00 per hour shift differential

Shift: 12-hour shifts; Night and day shift available

Work environment: This is a fast-paced environment with some high acuity patients. We treat chronic care to emergencies and everything in between! You will gain valuable healthcare experience that you normally would not be able to obtain working in just one clinical setting..

Position summary: A licensed professional nurse is responsible for providing nursing care and

assistance for ill and/or injured inmates. All decisions should be reviewed with the RN on duty except for routine duties assigned to the nurse (LPN) in compliance with American Correctional Association (ACA) standards, MTC Medical, Florida Department of Corrections (FDOC) and Florida Department of Management Services (DMS) directives.

Essential responsibilities:

Education and experience requirements:

• Graduation from a Licensed Practical Nurse program and licensure as a practical nurse in the state of Florida.
• One year of experience preferred (to include EKG, phlebotomy, injections, IV, casting and wound care).
• Must possess current CPR certification.
• A valid driver’s license in the state of Florida with an acceptable driving record is required, unless waived by management.
