Job Description

Meaningful employment, community engagement, and dignity of choice for adults with autism.

Do you love working with people? Are you interested in making a difference in the lives of adults on the autism spectrum? Are you interested in joining a progressive, passionate, mission-driven, and DEI-driven culture? Are you interested in working alongside autistic self-advocates to learn neurodiversity-affirming interventions?

Itineris is a leading provider serving autistic adults. We are looking for a “Behavior Support Services Clinician” to provide mental and behavioral healthcare in the Baltimore area. This person will have experience conducting Functional Behavior Assessments and developing Behavior Plans for clients on the autism spectrum with co-occurring mental health diagnoses.

Location & Schedule:

  • Where:Sessions typically occur via telehealth or at “The Pointe” (i.e., our office). Assessments typically occur in the natural environment (e.g., home, employment, community). You will have an office at “The Pointe” but may work a hybrid schedule, based on the needs of your clients.
  • When:Sessions typically are 1-hour and focus on working with clients and their team (e.g., families, staff, other caregivers) on goals outlined in the behavior plan. Most sessions and assessments are scheduled M – F from 9AM – 5PM. However, schedules and hours may vary based on the needs of our clients.

Compensation:

  • $60,000 - $84,000per year, based on experience and certifications
  • Health, Dental, Vision benefits
  • 401K (matched by Itineris) entry dates are Jan and July after 1yr of service
  • 176 hours of PTO
  • 4 mental health days

The Role:

You will have a caseload of adult clients totaling 20-billable hours per week. Your initial intake will involve a Functional Behavior Assessment. From these results, you will develop a Behavior Plan. Once the plan is finalized, you will continue with ongoing consultation. This consists of working with the client directly and/or working with their team to implement the plan and provide recommendations.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
  • Comfort and success with crisis management, verbal de-escalation, and a variety of evidenced-based interventions to serve the entire autism spectrum.
  • Training and expertise with ACT, CBT and/or DBT
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strongly prefer a specialization in behavioral treatments for mental-health diagnoses commonly co-occurring with autism (e.g., adapting CBT to treat OCD for adults on the spectrum)
  • LCSW, LCPC, or BCBA
  • Experience implementing ABA-based assessments and interventions in a community setting (e.g., trial-based functional analysis)
  • Master’s degree

What We Offer:

Itineris is recognized as Baltimore Sun Top Workplace. As a growing organization, Itineris offers a fun and rewarding atmosphere for our employees. We offer flexible schedules, health benefits, mental health days, and a matched 401K for eligible employees. We create a supportive, team environment that promotes professional growth and learning, done so by offering training opportunities, financial support to maintain your licensure (e.g., professional conferences, presentation opportunities, CEUs), team building events, and company events.
