Job Description

Southern Airways / Mokulele Airlines is seeking a skilled, certificated Level II NDI Inspector to assist us in maintaining our fleet aircraft. Under the direction of the Director of Maintenance the incumbent will perform maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and modifications on company aircraft(s).

The ideal candidate:

  • Has the ability to read, write and speak English effectively

  • Has excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Is courteous in all interactions
  • Has experience working on PT6A and/or C-208B
  • Is detail-oriented


General Duties include:

  • Maintaining the work area in a clean and professional manner
  • Properly completing log entries for work accomplished
  • Performing aircraft run and taxi as required for system test and performance
  • Performing maintenance and inspections in accordance with the applicable FARs, manufacturer’s recommendations, TCDS, ICAs and company policies
  • Troubleshooting systems and components, airframe and power plant
  • Exhibiting knowledge of and working in accordance with the GOM, GMM and AAIP


Requirements for the position:

  • Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Able to document on-the-job training and successfully complete training as required by company
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. per the Immigration Act of 1986
  • Level 2 NDI Certificates (Eddy current / Dye Pen) with training records to verify exp.
  • Ability to read, understand and follow maintenance manuals, drawings and wiring prints
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience
  • Ownership/possession of basic tools to complete the job tasks
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Ability to work within a 24/7 operation including holidays
  • Ability to pass 10-year background check and pre-employment drug screen
  • Ability to maintain SIDA access
  • Current A&P certificate, IA is a plus
  • Basic computer skills


Physical Requirements:

  • Able to bend, squat, kneel and stand for extended periods of time
  • Able to work in adverse weather conditions
  • Able to lift 40 pounds.
