Job Description

The Office of U.S. Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith seeks a Legislative Aide for a portfolio focusing on Defense, Homeland Security, and Foreign Affairs. The position requires excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and knowledge of the legislative process. Duties include processing incoming mail, drafting outgoing constituent mail, monitoring legislative developments, writing memos, taking meetings, and assisting the Military Legislative Assistant with legislative projects. This position requires the ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. Mississippi ties are preferred and previous Hill experience is a plus.
