Job Description
Teach graduate courses in Community Health and Nutrition for the School of Human Ecology.
Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D. degree in nutrition or a closely related field by start date of employment from an accredited institution. Credentialing as a registered dietitian/nutritionist (RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
Preferred Qualifications
At least two years of teaching experience at a college level. Evidence of experience in advising and mentoring students. Experience with an ACEND accredited dietetics program, including course and curriculum development. Evidence of ability to deliver courses via distance/online platforms. Ability to achieve State of Tennessee Licensure as a dietitian/nutritionist (LDN) within one year of employment. Work experience, preferably in a community nutrition related position. Active membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Effective oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in both university and community settings with faculty, staff, students, and community groups of diverse backgrounds.
