Job Summary:

This position will be responsible for delivering a graduate-level course- EP547: Engineering Analysis I. This course covers methods of higher mathematics, with a stress on problem solving rather than rigorous proofs, and includes topics such as ordinary differential equations, linear algebra, calculus of variations, Green's function, and complex analysis.

Successful candidates will be expected to use established course curriculum and materials to provide instruction to students enrolled in EP547 in the Fall 2023 semester. The individual will also interpret test scores and meet with students to assess/assist course progress and to provide advice and guidance when needed.

The teaching load for this position will be similar to FTE expectations for the NEEP department (2 courses per semester).

Responsibilities:

Facilitates classroom, online, and/or laboratory instruction and assists with instructional development and design for a single course or series of courses within an academic discipline to support the delivery of quality instruction. Provides for-credit instruction in formats such as classroom, online and/or laboratory settings, including grading. Serves as an instructor of record.
  • 75% Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance
  • 10% Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations
  • 15% Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction

Preferred:
Prior teaching experience in a relevant or related course(s)

Work Type:

Part Time: 50%

It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.

Appointment Type, Duration:

Terminal, 4 month appointment.
This position has the possibility to be extended or converted to an ongoing appointment based on need and/or funding

Salary:

Minimum $55,000 ACADEMIC (9 months)
