The Cyber Security Business Information Security Office (BISO) increases cybersecurity and business alignment and is responsible for providing quality cybersecurity risk advice to enable sound decision-making and ensure positive security outcomes within business lines across the global footprint of the company.
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing a relevant, transparent, proactive and actionable Business Information Security Office (BISO) program. The Leader supervises cybersecurity risk reduction by leading regionally based Business Information Security Officers, collaborating with business partners at all levels, and across all Cyber Security pillars to identify, analyze, prioritize and mitigate cybersecurity risks.
BISOs act as trusted advisors to the lines of business and regions they support; understand strategic goals and priorities and advocate for cyber risk management; act as trusted advisors and advocates to regional Information Technology (IT) teams to enable successful implementation of cyber security controls and are responsible for ensuring success of the program as monitored by metrics. The BISO program creates opportunities for information sharing, providing consultation for new and ongoing initiatives and acting as a feedback loop of regional requirements to Cyber Security.
Role Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver reports, including metrics, initiatives, regional and cyber requirements, and executive presentations.
  • Building and maintain controlled processes, including procedures and runbooks, to identify, analyze, prioritize, and mitigate cybersecurity risks.
  • Partner with regional BISOs and business partners to understand strategic goals and priorities, to advocate for cyber risk management, to implement security controls and to capture regional requirements for Cyber Security.
  • Set objectives and coach personnel to achieve key results by managing the daily operations of the Business Information Security Office (BISO).
  • Work closely with regional BISOs and business partners to identify top risks, determine information sources to be ingested to define control requirements, and build key risk indicators and control performance metrics to measure risk and identify control improvement opportunities.
  • Lead the development and execution of an effective BISO program.
Role Requirements
  • Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail
  • Deep understanding of technology and business.
  • Strong team player with the desire to mentor and train staff and other team members
  • Experience adapting strategies to emerging cybertechnology threats.
  • Experience managing projects from start to finish with clear objectives, timelines and budgets.
  • Able to clearly articulate the value of cybersecurity investments to business leaders who may not be familiar with technical details.
  • Experience leading technical teams and managing a cross-regional program.
  • Prepare and review written technical reports and document findings.
  • Deep understanding of cybersecurity technologies and how they can protect an organization’s assets.
  • Ability to adapt to change and shifting priorities.
  • Able to translate complex technical concepts into plain English and present them in a way that decision-makers can understand.
  • Effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical staff
  • Excellent networking skills to build relationships and influence internal stakeholders.
  • 8-10 years in Information Security and 4+ years of managing teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field.
  • Experience with a wide range of IT systems and applications
  • Experience identifying, assessing, and prioritizing risks. Familiar with principles of risk management and how they apply to cybersecurity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Salary
The base salary range is $150,000 – 204,000 USD per year, total on target compensation includes a base salary and short-term (15% of base), and long-term (5% of base), incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates’ qualifications, skills, and competencies.
