Position Overview
As a Lead Warehouse Attendant, you will assist the Warehouse Manager in overseeing all Warehouse activities. You will perform the duties of a Warehouse Attendant while taking on additional responsibilities and guiding the warehouse staff at your location. You can expect to perform a variety of tasks in connection with the receipt, storage, inventory and distribution of stock items. Our warehouse teams support the overall sales function by getting great tasting community coffee to our customers every day!
Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities
  • Schedules work for specials and periodic inventories
  • Coordinates ship-out produces to customers
  • Reviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures and to determine adequacy of stock levels
  • May be responsible for management and timely execution of daily receiving and shipping load boards dependent upon location
  • Studies records and recommends remedial actions for reported non-usable, slow moving and excess stock
  • Assists in planning layout of location/warehouse/storage area, considering turnover, size and weight of all items
  • Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends to management remedial actions to resolve discrepancies
  • Performs all duties of a Warehouse Attendant in addition to Lead responsibilities, including but not limited to loading/unloading items, auditing picked orders for accuracy, stacking product on pallets, inventory counts, operating a forklift or pallet jack.
  • May be required to hold daily team meetings with teams to communicate any safety topics as well as any updates relevant to the area
  • Determines work procedures, provides input on work schedules and expedites workflow
  • May be required to manage organization of the warehouse based on WMS picking/put away strategies
  • Trains, supports, guides Warehouse Attendants
  • Assists supervisor in the management of warehouse/location operational responsibilities.
  • May be required to oversee the receipt of purchased goods verifying counts, quality and complete all required paperwork and transactions associated to this process
Position Requirements
  • Experience with Community Coffee, even if unrelated, may fulfill this requirement at the discretion of the hiring manager with approval from Human Resources .
  • Familiar with industrial and mechanical terminology.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to operate forklift, hoist, welding equipment and various hand and power tools.
  • 2 years related experience; or equivalent combinations of education and experience
  • Passing score on aptitude test required in lieu of high school diploma or equivalent
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
Knowledge of CFR 110, current good manufacturing practices and AIB consolidated standards for food safety.
SAP Or Other WMS Experience Preferred

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. May occasionally lift and/or move up to 200 pounds (with assistance of lift or by two persons)
  • Frequently required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk or hear.
