Role Purpose:

We're on the hunt for a Lead UX Designer to shape the future of our Dealer Xperience platform, zeroing in on innovative, modern accounting systems for automotive retailers. As a pivotal player, you'll redefine the digital landscape for automotive dealerships, crafting seamless and impactful user experiences that drive better user outcomes and financial performance for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and Feedback Integration: Engage with UX researchers, stakeholders, and customers to refine designs based on feedback and insights driving both adoption and utilization.
  • Design Advocacy: Champion the importance of usability and design thinking, influencing broader organizational perspectives.
  • End-to-End Design: Oversee the entire design process from ideation to execution, including wireframing, prototyping, and user testing.
  • Collaborative Discovery & Design: Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate user-centered design principles into product iterations and product-led growth.
  • Strategic Design Leadership: Steers the overarching UX direction, ensuring alignment with CDK's vision, our buyer personas, and user needs.

Qualifications:

  • Continuous Learner: A passion for staying updated with the latest in design trends, tools, and methodologies.
  • Technical Proficiency: Mastery of design tools like Figma and Figjam. Familiarity with application lifecycle and collaboration tools like Jira, Confluence, or their equivalents. Experience with CSS, HTML5, and other relevant languages is a bonus.
  • Design Thinking Expertise: A deep understanding of design thinking principles, with experience applying these to drive innovation and product development outcomes that showcase a direct influence of customer behaviors that deliver business value.
  • Industry Acumen: 10+ years in UX design, preferably with exposure to automotive or similar sectors.
  • Educational Background: Degree in Design, HCI, UX, or a related field.
  • Proven Experience: A robust portfolio demonstrating expertise in end-to-end UX design processes, including accomplishments, qualitative results, and skills applied in your work.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Ability to work harmoniously with different teams, from product developers and managers to marketing, customer success, and sales.

Location: This role can be remote or based in CDK Global's Portland, OR office.


Compensation: $140,000.00 - $185,000.00

CDK Global is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Compensation packages are based on several factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, certifications, and work location. The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.We offer Medical, dental, and vision benefits in addition to:
