Job Description
Summary You will serve as a LEAD SECRUITY GUARD in the FLEET READINESS CENTER SE, COMMAND OPERATION DEPT of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST. Responsibilities You will assure adherence to safety practices. You will stand in a fixed post or function at a control desk to interact tactfully with employees and visitors and provide information and assistance. You will perform duties in all type of weather, day or night, weekday or weekend. You will ensure that facilities, locks, alarms, fences, gates or other barriers are closed and locked or open and unlocked depending on the mission and the conditions that apply Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-4 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Distributes and balances workload among employees to ensure proper security coverage and timely response times. Instructs subordinates in specific tasks and job techniques, reviewing reports in progress and finalizing reports to ensure quality and accuracy. Prohibit unauthorized personnel from accessing secured areas to maintain security. Allow entrance to persons and vehicles with proper authorizations. Monitor and authorize the entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises. Confirm facilities, locks, alarms, fences, gates, or other barriers are closed/locked or open/unlocked depending on the time of day and the conditions that apply. Notify emergency personnel when issues arise to assist in protecting personnel, property, equipment, or facilities. Enforce security measures to protect personnel, property, and materials.
