Lead Radiology Technologist Jobs

Leads and guides Radiology Technologists. Operates X-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body. Performs all functions of a Radiology Technologist. Performs quality control checks. Maintains adequate supply levels for area.

Job Responsibility

• Performs related duties as required. All responsibilities noted here are considered essential functions of the job under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Duties not mentioned here, but considered related are not essential functions.
• Maintains equipment in efficient operating condition, makes minor adjustments and cleans equipment.
• Prepares and maintains patient records to assure proper billing.
• Develops films by automatic and manual processing, in accordance with established procedures.
• Gives guidance and direction to Radiology Technologists.
• Prepares patients for radiographs.
• Sets up and operates stationary and mobile x-ray equipment.
• Maintains work area in efficient operating condition, trains new employees, and instructs students.
• Assists with staff scheduling and prioritizing and assigning work based on workflow fluctuations.

Job Qualification

• Current License to practice as a Radiologist in New York State, and Current ARRT Radiology registration required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
• Vocational or Technical school Diploma required.
• 5-7 years of technical experience and 2+ years of leadership experience, required.
