The future is what you make it.
When you join Honeywell, you become a member of our global team of thinkers, innovators, dreamers and doers who make the things that make the future. That means changing the way we fly, fueling jets in an eco-friendly way, keeping buildings smart and safe and even making it possible to breathe on Mars. Are you ready to help us make the future?
The Honeywell Aerospace propulsion project engineering team has an immediate opening for a Lead Project Engineer on the HTF7000 Sustaining Installations, Externals and FADEC team. You will be responsible for the design integrity of your modules and will be responsible for defining, planning and executing product improvement programs; implementing product changes into production; and maintaining the technical content of technical publications. You may also support new product development programs such as the HTF NG, leading technical teams to develop design concepts and technology roadmaps for externals and bypass ducts, creating program cost estimates and creating statements of work and specifications for suppliers to define product requirements.
We Require
  • Must be US Citizen, permanent resident or have protected status.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
  • 10+ years’ engineering experience in gas turbine engine, engine control systems, engine installations design and support or related field.
We Value

  • Good working knowledge of Part 25 and Part 33 certification, including ability to work with the ODA and Chiefs to define certification impacts and leading efforts to produce necessary certification documents.
  • Experience leading complex technical projects that require interfacing with cross-functional teams and with external customers and suppliers.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and execute complex technical projects with minimal oversight
  • Superior interpersonal and communications skills; ability to convey subtle or complex messages clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience.
  • Strong project management skills, including experience in budget and schedule management, risk management and earned value management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills; ability to make progress in the face of limited resources and information.
  • Ability to provide significant technical contributions essential to the successful completion of projects.
  • Passion for winning and the ability to act with urgency
